I connected on my Nvidia shield this morning and left VPN on but two hours later when I opened Nvidia shield I was logged off and had to reconnect with my password. Why is that ? I think I remember this happening on my laptop the first time I logged in on it as well… I checked the auto connect at start up on the setting. Is there anything else I need to do to avoid being logged off express VPN on my devices ?
Here are some potential reasons for this issue and possible solutions:
-
Session Timeout: VPN services sometimes log out users after a period of inactivity. Check if ExpressVPN has a timeout setting in its app that can be adjusted or disabled.
-
Auto-Connect Settings: Make sure that the auto-connect feature is enabled, which ensures that the VPN reconnects automatically if the connection drops.
-
Multiple Device Limit: ExpressVPN has a limit on the number of devices that can be connected simultaneously. If you exceed this limit, it could log you out of other devices. Ensure that you are not exceeding this limit.
-
App Update or Bug: Ensure that both Nvidia Shield and the ExpressVPN app are up-to-date. If this issue has started after a recent update, it could be a bug that might be fixed in future patches.
-
Reinstall the App: If none of the above works, try uninstalling and reinstalling the ExpressVPN app on Nvidia Shield to see if this resolves the issue.

Thanks Jasonsuny . 2. Enabling Auto connect seems to have fix this particular issue as this time I left it for A while and it was still logged in. I doubt the device limit was the issue as I changed password very recently and got Express vpn to log off all connected devices. I just think I needed to select auto connect as the option as you said.
