I’ve been using Norton since like 2005 and I’ve had my complaints with the older versions of the software, but I’ve never had any issues sticking with Norton and I can’t remember the last time I ran into an issue with my computer getting infected with malware or a virus that really affected me. I Renew every year around christmas for $20-40 and Its for 5 people (I give the other 4 license’s to the rest of my family).
I think Norton can be a little annoying at times with he promotions that popup occasionally, even with the setting turned off to disable promotional pop-ups but they still happen, but honestly it’s not a big deal and they don’t come back once I close them out.
According to AV websites (av-test.org and av-comparatives.org), both show Norton as being one of the top recommended antivirus software suites you can purchase right now. I can understand if you don’t like Norton for its past, knowing Norton used to bog down system resources and sometimes made the computer run slower, but this was years ago like 2010 the last time I can remember Norton slowing down my PC lol…
So, if Norton consistently scores very good across all these different tests why does Norton get all the hate it does? I can understand if we’re talking about older versions, but the current versions is very reliable and is very cheap if purchased at the right time.
