I’m really ignorant abt VPN. I would be happy with any help T-T
well there are many ways without vpn, but it needs you to have some knowledge in computer networking, to identify what kind of block are being employed and what tools to use.
first off change your dns to google dns and it might just work.
secondly you do your thing some where else. find domains and ips used using wireshark. If the service is running on a cdn which it mostly should. try to setup a domain fronting tool.
last resort is still vpn. there’s a free vpn called cloudflare warp.
vpn are great but if your school also blocks vpn. get a vpn that supports china/iran users.
Try a reputable VPN, but if that’s blocked, a proxy or Tor browser might work. You can also try changing your DNS to something like 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8. Good luck!
I hate to say this, but you really don’t want to do that. There’s a reason, legally, the block is in place. If you frustrate that effort and are caught, they may solve your problem by not letting you be part of the university. Better to get your own network connection such as a cellular link where you are not under their rules.
Believe me, they hate this as much as you do, but many states give them no choice.
If it’s in the university policy, I wouldn’t do it. Don’t f around and find out.
Roblox is cool but I would just find a new offline game to play while you’re at school. A handheld with offline games are a good option.
Get one of those beefy cellular plans and use your own data it’s safer for you to do that than to risk it

The fact you have to ask about it tells me you should leave it alone my friend. Like someone else said it might cost you your Uni place and you don’t want that. 
I torrented on my college wifi, worst they did was block my mac address. Changed my mac address and was back on within minutes, but I stopped the torrenting.
" frustrate the effort " wtaf does that mean. WiFi is used for your own personal device. Explain the laws to me because this sounds like absolute garbage.

Universities and schools usually block common games etc to reduce network congestion.

Your laptop over WiFi = you data, You can use a simple tor browser or a free VPN like proton based out of Switzerland. protecting your IP is always a good idea. Someone telling you otherwise is a clown.

When I was inc college, in order to sign into the WiFi we had to use our university email. So essentially you had to have an active enrolled email to use the WiFi. I’m sure this is how they track you. If op doesn’t have this, then that is a different story
