I recently learned certain apps (i.e. Qbit) have been using my private IP in conjunction with the VPN IP.

I am looking in to using an IPTV app on MacOS called Smarters Player Lite but now I feel like I have no idea what’s actually using the VPN and what apps need special configuration.
I use the Surfshark desktop app on MacOS, which doesn’t support features like Bypass VPN / Route via VPN to route specific apps to the VPN – which I assume would address this issue, but idk.
