Vpn worked on nintendo switch until it didn't?

So a few months ago i was looking into methods of using a VPN on my switch and i found this https://www.reddit.com/r/VPN/comments/10zzaqa/guide_how_to_connect_nintendo_switch_to_vpn/

it worked at first but randomly stopped after like a few days and to this day i couldn’t fix it and idk what’s wrong

I’m using 3 USB to lan adapters (1 from my router to my laptop and 2 from my switch to laptop)

yeah actually it stopped working while in the middle of using it last time iirc

either that or it didn’t work the next day
