VPN that could be used in mainland China

I’m a student from a Canadian university but currently doing online courses at home (due to personal reason I moved back to China earlier this month). I’m using ExpressVPN right now but the connection is unstable and almost unusable. I have to write this post super fast since I don’t know if next minute I can still stay in Reddit. Just wondering if there’s any VPN that could be used here. Thank you.

I use about 4 or 5 VPNs in China.
ExpressVPN is plagued by frequent ‘outages’. It’s fine when it works, but it doesn’t always work.
Astrill works well, and it probably the mostly used and recommended VPN.
As a backup I also have Mullvad & Panda VPN Pro.

Search the topic. Much faster to get a response before you lose your connection since this is asked every day.

Astrill, hands down. This is the fastest VPN I’ve used.

I had Express and wasn’t able to use it for a month after getting to China. It worked alright when I lived here a few years back but has been completely unreliable as for me as of recent. I switched to Astrill and have had no connection problems since. It’s a little more expensive than Express but totally worth it IMO.

Astrill on PC. I’ve been super hapy untill last August.
Now its getting shittier and shittier each day. I have untill march to find an alternative.

Try any of these SSR or Trojan provider. Do not use VPN anymore!!

I’m sorry, can the mods please have a rule where only 1 VPN post gets through per month? Do people not think to search VPN in the thread??

Get naxum. Works even hard time. They keep things under the radar. Also have streaming service servers.
Email them [email protected]

When I lived there years ago I used 12VPN. This is a VPN I have never heard mentioned here. Anyone else use it?

Express is weird. It’s pretty great for me at home with the preconfigured VPN router I bought from them when I first came to China, but it works like shit with the app versions.
For someone entering China, I would 100% not recommend it.

if you’re using any big brand VPN (astrill, express) you’re getting hosed for worse connections. PM me if you need a legit recommendation.

You need to use a specific VPN Protocol:

OpenVPN or TCP

Astrill is using TCP, that’s why it is so “fast”.

Astrill works extremely well

laddervpn for mobile uses alipay too

PandaVPN was blocked a month ago since the white paper incident happened.

How is panda pro ? I might want to get that one because it’s fairly cheap

Is it still very expensive and 5 devices minimum to buy?

Facts, it’s still a wallet drainer though :joy: But it’s better than having no internet freedom

have u found one, i trust astrill will return to normal but in the meantime
