So I used Express VPN, and am using Tor Guard now off of a recommendation. Neither are work with Netflix Japan, but I keep hearing about Japanese Netflix. Am I just using the wrong VPNs or am I just mistaken?
I use Tor Guard myself, make sure you contact them asking for your own Japanese IP address. That should work. I had the same problems before I contacted them.

Japanese Netflix isn’t my only requirement, as I need a VPN for other reasons as well. But, the Japanese IP spoofing is high on the list.
Soft ether is free and can access Japanese netflix
torguard definitely does work. you need to explicitly ask for a netflix enabled IP though. you can also just use softether if you want. it’s free.
PrivateVPN works. Simple interface and have never had any issues with it.
I can’t speak for any other features or general speed since I use a different VPN for privacy purposes, but Windscribe lets you build a custom plan and I pay $2/month for just Japan and unimited bandwidth. Been working for me for going on a month now
A bit late , i use surfshark vpn for netflix.
If you search テラスハウス on netflix. Boys and girls next door. + closing door will be available. thats how you know ur in ‘Japan’
Hello! I know it’s late but I have both ExpressVPN and NordVPN. They both work on Netflix, so what I want you to do is to always open Netflix on an incognito tab, because that way Netflix doesn’t save cookies. Don’t go straight to Netflix.com, try googling Netflix first then check if the search results are in Japanese and you are good to go.
For NordVPN, you gotta always check the language of the search results first because sometimes it is in a different region regardless of where you’re connected to.

There’s nothing significantly worse about this than any commercial VPN, plus it’s free. I was previously paying around $14/mo for some VPN but realized it was a waste of money.
I already have probably wont hear back until tomorrow. They just gave you your own IP address for free? Don’t they sell them for like 13 bucks?
Yeah I was a little confused because express vpn would get blocked down to like 1 server with the show I wanted and they expect you to contact support each time this happened which was like 6 times for me in maybe 2 weeks, and I know a lot of the other services use the same servers so I was kind of lost since I keep hearing about other people using japanese Netflix

Oh, but I feel like always going to incognito helps. I’ve tried 3 vpns so far and it always works, just delete the cookies or go inco. No problem tho 
Damn 20$ sounds pretty steep for a VPN like double what I was paying. Does it also work on your phone or do you just get 1 address?
I get the quarterly deal, and there are a lot of codes to get it half off. If you google them you’ll prob find one. I pay 20 every 3 months.
