Using Nord on outdated Mac Mini

I recently switched my VPN over to Nord and when I downloaded the app, I realized it’s unsupported for my Mac Mini running macOS High Sierra. I’ve installed Tunnelblick as a suggested workaround but it keeps having issues and won’t stay connected. Any suggestions? Is there a better alternative than Tunneblick? I’ve only ever used Private Internet Access with a supported app before so I feel kind of out of my element with the more technical stuff. Thanks in advance!

Your OS is considered end of life by Apple. You shouldn’t be using that on the internet anymore as security fixes are no longer supplied.

I’m still regularly using NordVPN 7.13.0 on my legacy video editing iMac Pro running High Sierra.
Their are some non-sketchy archive sites that have it available, but I don’t want to recommend any specific ones because I don’t use them anymore

Thanks, I’ll check it out.

I understand, I use it mainly as a media server but I’d still like to have a functional VPN.

Sounds like you don’t have much of a choice but to upgrade. If you want to ignore the security aspect (as somebody who works in security I’d recommend not to ignore it, especially if your media server is internet facing), most SaaS vendors follow the OS lifecycle. Once an OS reaches EOL, they typically stop supporting it. This seems like the issue you’re facing.

If I use it solely as a Plex server am I still exposed to potential threats? Plex is allegedly encrypted and secure, I don’t plan on using it for anything else, but it would obviously be connected to the internet and the Plex client to a web browser to function. Thanks
