I’ve used VPNs, but never for gaming. What are the benefits or reasons one would want to use a VPN for gaming?

Ahah I remember that feeling! I’ve owned mine since January and it’s been so fun modding online lol.
I remember back in 2013, when I knew nothing about modding apart from how to USB mod, when the GTA DNS codes came out! Me and my buddies was hyped as it was the first time we ever could mod online. It was around this time of year just before christmas too! I’ve wanted to get a modded Xbox for years!
Only recently I found out people sell them, as I was under the assumption for years you’d have to mod the console yourself?! Which as you know is way too complicated for most people.
i don’t suggest using cipher, use proto it actually works pretty well
Ikr, it bugs me too but they’re just advertising their services. Still better than Xbox Live ads.
In this case I would use one because other people with a modified xbox could grab your ip and be malicious with it. I had it happen A LOT with my JB PS3
I use a VPN for everything, pretty much. Basically it’s just a condom for your internet. If people grab an IP address then it’s the VPN and not yours meaning they can’t scan you(to find open services and attempt attacks on them) or just outright DDOS you. Instead they attempt to do so to a VPN service which usually will have hardware meant to deal with that, as well as enough bandwidth to handle most any attack.
Played some Halo 3 custom games the other day and it was a blast! I released my flying elephant map and will be releasing it here soon! I am doing testing to balance the map better, make improvements, etc.

I’ve heard of a few. Helix, proto, cipher, xbnetwork, teapot, etc. I used helix for a bit, enjoyed it, it’s down rn till full release, but I’m trying out others too. Liking Cipher so far, xbnetwork seems okay, an amazing option that’s free tbh. Haven’t used proto yet, what’s special about it? Haven’t used teapot because I’ve heard the owner is super sketchy 
it seems good aside from that but I don’t want to load it up on my system given what I’ve heard.

Any P2P service allows this, really. It’s inherent to the networking method. Xbox Live parties on 360, for example, and anything else for that matter, since most game sessions and services are hosted on a dedicated server located on the “host” machine, aka usually the one who started the game or has the best connection. It’s an inherently flawed method, but it gets around them having to host dedicated servers. Also, it helps preservation since if the server is in the game, you can host one yourself, meanwhile a dedicated server can be shut down causing a game to become completely unplayable.

That’s for U.S.A only btw. There is a guy I bought mine from L321 mods who ships worldwide, but when I got the console it wasn’t set up correctly and it had files on the hard drive that didn’t need to be there. Anyways, that’s his site decided to link it, in case you want to have a look. They don’t really have the best customer service either. But unless you’re not fussed about having to set the Xbox up yourself if they screw it up, there’s the link.
I believe you can get them fairly cheap on ebay for $130
I’ve used Ninja for a couple days as well as Xbonline. I’d pick one of those two for the best KV life and built in menus 
Ninja an xbonline are the best imo teapot is ok all paid tho.
