If my mobile device is connected to the vpn via mobile vpn app and I’m running a hotspot from the mobile device, are connecting devices also connected to the VPN, or are they receiving the LTE connection?
As far as I know sharing an encrypted connection to their servers is only currently possible on Windows machines and routers that can act as an OpenVPN Client. I don’t think your phone hotspot will work in order to secure the connected devices. That being said, you really should ask the Nord Connectivity team to confirm or at least elaborate on this topic to be sure.
Ive tried this on my device and the hotspot would use my public ip on wifi. I use an app to host a SSL encrypted proxy and share my vpn connection this way.
What happens if you set this up, then from the device go to their website and see if you’re protected?
Their traffic will go like this:
→ wifi hotspot → VPN → whatever country you’re connecting to.
Thank you ill look it up!
Did you ever fight out how to do this?
