I do something similar except from a laptop RDP into a desktop PC which has VPN turned on, it’s fine.
The short answer is yes, the VPN can track your PC’s internet traffic.
When you use a VPN, you are creating a secure tunnel between your device (PC) and the VPN server. All traffic leaving your PC travels through this tunnel before reaching its final destination.
The VPN server acts as an intermediary for all your traffic. This means that the company operating the VPN can see the traffic passing through its server. Encryption does not mean invisibility.
