Not in any way! When you’re using Hola you’re also acting as an end point for other Hola users, watching cp and other illegal stuff tied to your IP-address. Only an idiot would use Hola.
Stay as far away from Hola as possible. Buy something like Freedome from F-Secure for a quality VPN from a trustworthy provider. Or if you are technically capable then use something like Algo VPN.
Free VPN services are a prime example of “if you aren’t buying the product, you are the product”. With few exceptions, free services like this just route traffic through other clients.
As others have posted here, this doesn’t necessarily protect you as a PC could log where the Hola packets are coming from and it introduces all kinds of potential issues as others are now using your connection as their own VPN.
Stay away from ALL free vpn extensions
There are many free VPNs but all have restrictions - this is because bandwidth costs, a lot. There are some very good cheap ones, but if you must have a free one, I suggest CyberGhost Free, it’s an application not Chrome extension
Also, Hide.me looks good but haven’t tried it
then why should use chrome as well? it’s free…linux is also free
