Hey, I have both and when Hide.me is activated I cannot connect to media server outside of my home network. Anyone know how to rectify this issue?

Run Plex in a VM outside of your VPN, otherwise you’ll need a VPN that supports port forwarding.
There’s lots of threads about getting remote access with different VPN providers, give it a quick google search
