I have USCellular both on my Mobile phone and Home Internet. On my work and gaming computer the Home Internet USCellular always has my IP location 400 miles from my real location. My Mobile USCellular does not do that and is very close to my real location even though they use the same USCellular 5G from the same tower. Being 400 miles off is a pain in the ass when searching for anything…i.e. a local auto mechinic, pizza place or the Weather on my home security device, it is way off. USCellular 2nd level support says they cant change it…sure you cant.
Question is if I get a VPN hardware device and place it before/after the USCellular Wifi Router (Eero 6+) can I use it to make my IP local more accurate? Most software VPNs I see just have a list of area VPN servers to connect too. That would still not be accurate for searchs and my weather device.
so you want to trick your vpn into showing your device’s actual IP and location? nice try, fedboi
You want a Proxy Service, not VPN.
You can host a VPN in your friends house with a different ISP which shows correct location, not sure they would want it, and you will have lower internet speed and higher ping. You will probably gain more issues than solve
I will look into that thanks
