I’ve been dealing with this problem over several VPNs over several months. I don’t know if it’s something to do with Windows 10 or maybe I just suck but either way please God somebody help me settle this. I’ve reinstalled every TAP driver i’ve ever installed, disabled antiviruses, tried different VPNs, have tried OpenVPN, have contacted every service I have used, and yes I have rebooted my computer MULTIPLE TIMES. Upon trying to connect to my current VPN it will give me a notification that says >FATAL:ERROR: up/down plugin call failed. Can’t find a single bit of information about this error online.
Okay so basically:
- I click connect on my VPN
- After a few moments the TAP adapter will connect
- The TAP adapter returns to ‘Network cable unplugged’ after half a second
- ERROR ERROR ERROR ERROR
- In my current case, it says ‘>FATAL:ERROR: up/down plugin call failed’
- Spend three months trying to solve this
- get really mad
I don’t know if this isn’t enough information or if it doesn’t belong on the sub but if somebody can understand what’s happening please help me. Seeing as how I cannot connect to any VPN period, I figured it was right to put this here.
