I’m writing to warn other internet users that I was not refunded during 30 days money-back guarantee. I paid via bitcoin and my account wasn’t activated until I went through tickets (DH6-202104-00023, DU0-20210400023) and chat customer service. By that time I found their representatives to be rude, misinformed, and focused on customer retention. I continued to repeatedly request a refund via chat using my original requests and was rudely asked to submit new tickets and cut off the chat.
Buyer beware: please consider contacting the support system before sending your money, they will answer you with canned responses and if you ask for refunds, they will argue with you and cut you off. I can’t stress this enough, do not send them your hard earned bitcoin if you don’t want to end up frustrated and aggravated by their clueless support representatives.
For every bad experience reported, there are hundreds of good experiences that don’t even get mentioned. (Volunteer Bias)
I’ve been with PIA for years now. I have never once had a problem with them. Have zero reason to leave them.

Update: As of May 27 I got my refund in bitcoin thanks to Devin following up on my review at TrustPilot. I think PIA is still figuring out their bitcoin workflow as there was confusion with addresses during the refund process. After close to two months I was pretty happy to see my bitcoin being refunded.
yup, I tried getting a refund (not paying with bitcoin) and didnt get any response from support. Eventually I was able to get a refund through paypal but I would not recommend PIA, go somewhere else
Hi, I’m currently experiencing similar issues with them not detecting my payment (send from BECH address?).
Support staff does not seem to understand what I am talking about, and support is extremely slow without any progress whatsoever. I’ve been with PIA for over 2 years now.

I was a PIA customer in the past and had no technical issues.
My problems started by paying with bitcoin. They’re staff doesn’t understand the technology and the result was contacting argumentative and rude representatives. I wouldn’t even post here if I got my refund after my bad experience, but unfortunately, they just kept my money even though I asked for my refund within the 30 days window. Furthermore, every time I bring up my case in their chat, I just get asked to submit another ticket and immediately cut off the chat. The tickets remain without answer and my bitcoin is still in their possession.
The more I read reviews, I realize their 30 day money back guarantee is sadly a scam.
Hope they activated your account already and you’re okay using PIA after these issues.
