No p2p traffic is permitted on this server - help!

I’m disconnected from VPN but when I start chrome it says I can’t use that browser because it doesn’t support P2P traffic. And then it says I have to upgrade? I just want to be able to use my internet again even though I’m disconnected. Please can someone help. Thanks

First of all, calm down.
Second of all, have you heard of ancient problem fixing technique called restart the pc?
You can restart the pc, make sure no P2P software or service is running and then connect to the server. This will save more time than finding where the cache is or the culprit of your issue

I had this error even after removing proton, had to go into network (mac) and delete the proton vpn that was still there wtf ?

To solve your problem, you need to remove fully the protonVPN from the Program files after the uninstall.

so does that mean to not use ProtonVPN?
is there a better alternative?

I dont remember this but I probably went into network settings, found the proton mail entry/s and deleted it.

I cant remember.

Try going to system preferences>network>on the left panel is a list of connections… find & click to highlight anything proton and then click the - (minus) button just below to remove it.
