I occasionally use VPNs and have been doing so for years. However, over the past couple of weeks I have noticed that they no longer work. When I connect, I’m connected to the VPN but I’m no longer able to browse the internet.
I’m sure this is some setting somewhere, but I honestly have no clue why it worked before but doesn’t work now. I haven’t changed any settings myself, so I feel like there must’ve been some OS software update that disabled something that used to be enabled.
For reference, I’m running macOS Sonoma and have tried using 2 different VPNs with 2 different browsers, Safari and Chrome.
Question :
Are you in WiFi or in cellular data??
When this happens.
I have hsd no internet issue with cellular data some time… Change of settings helped. But it’s not consistent
Disable kill switch function in VPN and open cmd type ipconfig /renew and hit enter ,it will work .
It could be a provider issue
Could be the application issue
Or if it’s a private VPN for tunneling could be a setup issue.
you can try to connect to router directly to test if it works.
A lot of tunneling VPN will give you config files for Mac and iPhone cause they do hassle a lot
If it’s a VPN service. See their help post. They should mention the process
