I’ve found Star Network on Disney which isn’t in the States. That’s how I watched Shogun and several other shows, mostly from FX.
Hey, i appreciate the info - can you tell me why my VPN - I’m also in Canada, seems to buffer all the time when i am just streaming a show from the USA? Or the UK? I just go to one of those free streaming sites, and try to watch but it constantly buffers….what am i doing wrong? I just want to see the Oscar nom movies and it’s so annoying…I use ExpressVPN and i pay per year!!

The issue I’m guessing isn’t with the VPN but those free streaming sites. Probably overloaded with people watching them.
The best would be to find what legitimate site they can be watched on in those countries and stream there. Like see if its on netflix in another region and change the VPN there. Those free sites aren’t great at all and that’s where the buffering would be.
We watch stuff on Amazon Prime in countries like Portugal and there’s no issues at all.
Use justwatch.com to see what streaming platform it might be on in different countries.

Right I figured it was the junky free streaming site….but where else can you get the latest movies …before they hit the big sites like Netflix…?
Best way is to use torrents. If they’re available online anywhere you can download them.
I download torrents all the time and then upload it to my plex server. I then just go to the plex app on my apple tv and it’s there to watch.
But torrents are the best place these days to see things before its available on streaming services.
I really appreciate this info - could you tell me where to find torrents? I mean I remember Napster! That’s how old i am…then there was limewire….but where do i go for movie torrents?
I have access to a private torrent site that I’ve used for like 15+ years, but don’t have any invites. Not even sure how you can get an account anymore.
Piratebay is still around, but you have to be careful as sometimes people upload bad content.
I’m not sure where the best place to go is, but check out this reddit wiki. It has info on torrents, but it also has places to stream movies and stuff, so perhaps they have information on better sites that don’t buffer all the time!
