Need advise on how to do own vpn

Hi there. Here are a starting points:

  1. Asus router
    2.Asustor nas
    3.Vpn provider with wireguard protocol
  2. ISP1 for home
  3. ISP2 for moblie

So when I’m within my local network (using wifi via router or wired) I use my ISP1 and have no any issues with VPN-provider : can connect easily via wireguard.
As soon as I go away from home and start using ISP2 (mobile; ios) I can’t use VPN-provider. It is blocked.

The goal is to use NAS+router and create my own vpn that will use my ISP1 line(where I don’t have issues with VPN-provider). So I need to connect to my NAS via router from outside the local network and use some sort of server that will be sitting on my VPN-provider’s wireguard profile.

Any ideas? Thank you in advance!

If you’re starting from zero experience, look up tailscale.

If you’re wanting to learn how to completely build it yourself, the wireguard website has a guide on how to set up an exit node within your network that you can connect to from your phone. Note if you have CGNAT you’d be better off with tailscale or one of its clones.

Get a droplet from digital ocean. Then simply do this GitHub - hwdsl2/wireguard-install: WireGuard VPN server installer for Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux, CentOS, Fedora, openSUSE and Raspberry Pi OS

Will read all advised options. Thanks.

It happens, just calling attention so you can know better later. So many heads have lifted me up by taking a quick moment to help get me right in some way, regardless how ‘trivial’ it may seem to whoever. :+1::+1:
