Is BrightVPN safe? (cant post on r/VPN cause its not allowed to mention VPN names)
That’s super sketchy. If a VPN or any software installs itself without your knowledge, that’s a massive red flag. I’d avoid anything like this entirely. Try a free proxy list from a trusted service like Oxylabs instead.
Never remembered myself installing it in my computer, went on C:// to see what extra files I have to delete them, found brightVPN there… I was suprised because I use Nordvpn since 2017… so who the fuck installed brightVPN on my computer?
To make things worse, tried to uninstalled through system and it said it was running… it wouldn’t go away.
So I restarted my damn computer to remove it and guess what… it disapeared by itself, like I was dreaming or something.
Red flag from me.

malwarebytes blocked connections from bright VPN to other IP while the program was allegedly disabled so I uninstalled immediately
Have you read the terms of use before installing the program? It honestly says in black and white that the program will use your data, unlike other VPNs, this program honestly warns about this. I will say more, even paid VPNs use your data for their own purposes, but they don’t advertise it.
