I want to buy a vpn and expressvpn seems to be the best one. Is the 99 dollars for 15 months worth it?
Thanks!

I’ve had it for over 2 years and no issues. It’s just limited to 5 devices.
Yes. Totally worth it.
All decent vpn providers cost an arm and a leg.
I can vouch for ExpressVPN based on my personal experience with them for the last 3.5 years.
99$ a year with them is more useful to me than 99$ with, say, Amazon Prime, but that’s because I’m outside the US.
I have not tried NordVPN, although they’re highly rated and give ridiculously good d2 year and 3 year deals around Thanksgiving and Black Friday and whatever.
About the 5 device limit though, if u get one of the ExpressVPN firmware-supported routers, u easily get around that limited device number.
Their support (chat especially) is excellent, they provide access to new streaming services in minimum time (like Disney+ and HBOMax when they first came out) and they release new firmware for the supported routers regularly.
Also, changing locations and countries (and even cities) is varied and useful.
Yea deffo worth it maybe trial out first
Depends on how much use you plan to get out of it. If it’s to watch one show a week on some streaming site, probably no.
But if you’re looking to protect your online privacy and security, and want to keep it running on all your devices, then maybe yes.
I just purchased it myself and so far the only issue I’ve run into is I found an old link to gamefaqs.com I was gonna look at it and it doesn’t like VPN’s, but its wasn’t that important anyway. Otherwise its been great.
I’ve had it for 6 months and my only complaint is the ios app will randomly shit the bed and require a manual reconnect. The router app has been flawless though.
Definitely, so much worth it.
Definitely No! Go for NordVPN.
Great! Thanks for the reply!
Hi @kabalizo. Did you had the routers ship from the US directly to you?
Disney and HBO Max not working. They also have overpriced product.
Just to add, it’s not necessary to use their custom firmware on your router. Although this may be the most optimal, since they also provide OpenVPN configuration files, you can setup on any router that supports this protocol.
Bear in mind the speed may take a significant hit compared to connecting via your PC, since most router’s processors aren’t as powerful to handle the extra workload.
FYI, my ASUS RT-AC56U halved my bandwidth, so I replaced it with an ASUS RT-AC86U (marketed as a gaming router) which is powerful enough to provide my full bandwidth.
Sidenote, I now use the RT-AC56U as an AiMesh node to improve my home WiFi, which was very easy to setup. Happy days.
Netflix and Amazon Prime both work fine for me. What devices do you use and where do you connect to?
Amazon Prime (US) is finicky with which US location you use. Works for me on Los Angeles but not Washington DC server, for example.
Ok Thanks, I appreciate the response.
No, found someone here in Egypt selling a used Linksys WRT-1900ACS here online
Disney+ works on LA & DC servers for me
HBO Max works on DC as well.
Which servers do you use?
And yes, it’s overpriced imho, but I get what I pay for
Ah. Thanks for the info
