How to test my connection to see if my VPN can be detected

I dont want to test every sit individually… Just want to know if I’m being obfuscated to a certain degree or not. Is there a website or tool to do that?

You’re going to have to be a little bit more specific. Do you mean a website or tool to let you know your vpn is connected and working well as advertised or the packet data showing a TCP connection and not a VPN connection so let’s say IT at your work can’t tell if you’re using a VPN?

I use https://ipinfo.io/ to see if my connection is working and it does let me know if I’m showing others if I’m using a VPN, proxy, Tor, Relay or Server connection so that’s pretty cool.

You can use this tool to monitor your network. https://www.glasswire.com/

Are you basically asking for a sideways look at your traffic to and from your WAN IP? Not really possible from an external site, service, or provider. Only the servers and routers through which your traffic passes are able to see any information about that traffic. As far as that goes, all anyone would be able to see is packets to and from your IP and the VPN endpoint server, with encrypted payloads. So, yes, if someone wanted to go to the trouble, it could be relatively obvious that you’re using a VPN.

  1. First of all, ipleak is essential and will tell you whether your VPN is working or not. Second, You should know that there’s a finite number of IP addresses your VPN uses, so it’s easy to tell whether someone is using a VPN or not, just not who that person is.

If you go to ip2location.com, you can see your IP address detected as VPN and see if they can detect your provider name, NordVPN.
