I am using WireGuard back to my home in Vegas. All web browsers show I am in Vegas on my windows pc.
I have been using starlink in the middle of nowhere out of country but all of a sudden, Hulu knows I am out of the country. I have turned off all location privacy settings but it’s still blocking Hulu now. What is going on?
I have heard of OS being able to query ssid location but I have bypass mode from starlink to my ASUS router. I am at a loss of ideas
If you are using a smartphone and possibly same with a tablet, in addition to VPN, you’ll need an app to spoof your gps location. Something like Fake GPS. Seems to work with both Hulu and YouTubeTV.
Is your WiFi disabled? If not location can be determined by nearby WiFi networks.
I always check for DNS leaks on my VPN before I start connecting to different countries or locations, fortunately my security must be good as I haven’t encountered any issues,my only problem is when I connect with different USA IP addresses no matter where Tubi, the Roku channel and sling free stream just won’t let me engage.before these app updated recently or a few weeks ago I had no problems with Geo location what so ever, everything else works fine I’m with surshark who have about 20 locations in the USA and about 450 servers backing those locations up.what I have just read is very interesting regarding latency
All good ideas, it’s just weird because my family back home essentially have the same ip location as me and everything is working fine
This… if you’re using a browser to watch then make sure your vpn is connected, close hulu, clear all cache and cookies and try again.
if it still doesn’t work then your VPN likely is leaking DNS. Do you get the results you expect from: https://www.dnsleaktest.com/ ?
I had a friend in another country use my WireGuard configuration and everything is working fine
If another friend in another country is able to use my WireGuard configuration just fine would that still indicate a leak?
I wonder if webrtc could be playing a factor
