Google sending location when trying to log in to new email

Hi

If you use a vpn and try to sign into an account does Google still track your exact location or the vpn location? I’m talking about the email they send where they say ‘someone tried to log into your account IP Address : xxx Location: Sweden ‘

Thanks

Depends on the device you’re using and the permissions allowed.

Google uses both your IP address and GPS to know your location. Simply connecting to a VPN server won’t change your GPS location, and location-based services like Tinder rely on your GPS coordinates
