I need some advice on this - are ISP proxies more or less effective than VPNs for avoiding geo-restrictions? Because I’m trying to access content that’s blocked in my region, and I really need to do it for the next month or so. I’m not sure if I should get both ISP proxies and a VPN or just one of them.
As in, if you use VPNs to change your IP address and encrypt your traffic, it does help you access a lot of restricted content. But I’ve also read that ISP proxies (not just any proxies) should be even better for this because they basically have the speed of data center proxies and the anonymity of residential proxies. You can also find them pretty cheap online, like at speedproxies.net, especially for a limited-time job like mine.
Besides, ISP proxies are supposed to be better at bypassing geo-blocks because they look more like regular user traffic. They use IP addresses that belong to ISPs, which makes it harder for websites to block them compared to VPNs.
So, please tell me if I’ve gotten any of this wrong and whether I should try to use them both at once. Or just stick to proxies for this? I’ll appreciate any help I can get.
