Best privacy browser for iOS?

What do you think is the best privacy browser for iOS? I know there’s some browsers that help protect you from advertisers but what about the government? With the political climate in the US right now I’m curious if there’s a safe browser. Would opera with vpn be the best bet? I guess I’m asking what app would be the best for privacy against the government, not just companies. TYIA

Nah, every browser on iOS is WebKit, so just use Safari with AdGuard, and some configuations

I use Safari with NextDns and Wipr

The Safari browser is quite secure and offers a ton of tracking preventions and privacy guards. There’s even a protection from fingerprinting, which is huge and arguably the greatest thing. Combined with a VPN or Apple Private Relay from iCloud, you’re golden.

Safari in private browsing mode with JS disabled. DuckDuckGo for anything that needs JS to run. Couple this with ADGuard Pro and you’re golden.

The best privacy browser for you is those browser you setup privacy related the right way and is offering you additional options like extensions to make your love more privacy friendly.

But you know it is not only the browser who needs to be privacy friendly … or protective … there is more to think about, because you not only have a browser on your device. You probably have apps on your device who are not really privacy related.

For me, definitely Brave with a proper VPN such as Proton or Mullvad (don’t use VPNs bundled in browsers, I choose my own and I choose carefully).Firefox is decent, Firefox Focus unfortunately feels abandoned.

But you need to set up your browser to clear cookies from time to time, that is very important for privacy. Or you can set up always private browsing which will clear them for you as you close the website.

If you need extra privacy, then Onion browser (TOR) with Orbot.

That is as much privacy you are able to get on iOS.

Safari, Firefox Focus, Brave are fine. Definitely download AdGuard.

If you feel you need more, you could try Orbit & Onion Browser.

Alright with everyone’s recommendations I found brave and Orion to be the best. I’m impressed with Orion, you can install chrome and Firefox extensions. I’m not sure what, but combined I have a 100% block rating from ad block testing websites.
Edit: with Orion I have unlock origin installed.

For privacy on iOS, consider Firefox Focus or Tor. iOS has limitations, though. De-Googling is key.

vivaldi or safari + adguard

Unless you’re in the EU they are all based on WebKit so there isn’t so much variation, but I use Orion which allows the use of desktop-style extensions. I have uBlock Origin and DuckDuckGo privacy essentials installed, with some other privacy-oriented extensions too.

brave for ad blocking and tracker blocking. or you can check privacytests.org

What do u all think of Privacy Pro in relations to Adguard?

I’ve been using DuckDuckGo for a few years. I don’t Google anything. Their trackers and fingerprinting are crazy scary.

No such thing as privacy on a phone. All the brave shill salesmen are out in full force. Brave chrome and chromium is trash. Stay far away

Every browser currently is just safari with different skin so yeah. You would better off with android phone

I dont know snowhaze count as privacy friendly browser tho

That’s no good for syncing data with more private desktop browsers, though, so there’s still value in using an iOS version of one of those browsers with adguard on - even if on iOS they aren’t any better.

AdGuard VPN or adblocker?
