AWS Site to Site VPN Reliability question

Our company is fairly new in offering solutions in AWS and one of our clients requested to establish s2s VPN with them.

Since the whole package is in AWS, we offered the AWS Site to Site VPN service, but all we got from the client was suspicion and doubt, mainly because they had another provider who employed <ANOTHER_BIG_CLOUD_PROVIDER_NAME> S2S and that was unreliable.

On one occasion their tunnel was down for a week? - It’s hard to believe but the client seemed to be sure and labelled that service a “$5 service that refunds $2 if it’s down for a week”.

So, without questioning the truth in their story, if any of you have a long-term ‘relationship’ with the AWS VPN service, can you assure me (I mean, assurance would be the best  ) that this is a much more reliable service that _won’t be down_ for even hours let alone days or weeks.

(We aim for a redundant, multi-AZ setup, but what in my mind a VPN shouldn’t be down for a long time, unless some vis maior event occurs…)

Ah, and of course, big THANK YOU for anyone contributing.
