Avira - WTF are you doing?
Aren’t there just two Avira entries in the software list that you need to install in a certain order?
You first have to uninstall Antivirus, Software Updater, Phantom VPN, and System Speedup before you’re allowed to uninstall the launcher/Avira Connect. If there’s an installed Avira program, Avira Connect is required anytime and it’s not possible to uninstall it.
Except Revo gets flagged for being a virus, so Avira quarantines it.
You can fool the system though, so Connect is not loaded when your computer starts.
Avira starts up Connect either via the registry or via Task Scheduler. Once you’ve located the entry you can just remove it and you will have the antivirus still working fine.
Wow that makes that product just that much worse…
