I recently made a switch to ConnectWise Control and I’m really enjoying it so far. The pricing is more favorable, and it has been great for handling break/fix scenarios and onboarding clients. However, I’ve noticed that it lacks the specific feature I used in TeamViewer, which allowed me to create a VPN for using SQL Server Management Studio on my own computer to access and maintain customer databases.
Does anyone know of a stand-alone product that will do something similar, or better yet something that integrates with ConnectWise Control or Kaseya VSA?
Wireguard, Tailscale, Zerotier, Twingate, etc, etc.
You just need a VPN connection.
Have you looked into RustDesk? It is free.
Another option is Ziti. Similar to Twingate in being an overlay network built on zero trust networking principles though they differ in how they deliver this. You have free and open source OpenZiti, or SaaS CloudZiti with a free tier. I work on the project.
