Why cannot I download large file when connected via Wireguard?

Hi, I was downloading large file, one around 4GB, in the middle it stopped.

Then tried this page https://speed.hetzner.de/ again it stopped in the middle when downloading the 1GB file there.

I am on the beta version, the last one. And have a fiber optic internet. Could it be a bug in ProtonVPN app? Because I tested and could download that large file with other VPN.

you might be experiencing packet loss turn change your protocol to TCP instead of wireguard or UDP since they cant have packet loss but TCP can

Th end of your sentence is wrong. TCP cannot have packet loss. I guess you meant to write UDP, but instead at the end, wrote TCP.

wireguard is exclusively UDP at the moment

udp cant have packet loss (the download will fail or the file will have a different hash then what it should to have )

tcp can handle packet loss (it will just resend the lost packet)

Thank you. I did try today, and I could download that 1GB file today from the link mentioned in my post before. Maybe disabling F-Secure’s DeepGuard helped, or switching to Edge Dev from the Edge Canary did help.
