I use VPNs sometimes for testing. For traceroute and external access.

To log into banking etc apps (if they detect you’re abroad they might send otp or extra checks which is annoying).
I use tunneling vpns for accessing my other computer. Even in local network windows is crap to access other windows.
VPN kinda fixes the issues petty well

I guess this might go in with autony but protecting my address and location from people who are savvy enough to hack accounts like socials, emails, platforms. As well as because I don’t understand fully how but it was told IP addresses and other information can be embedded into image is and videos taken and shared and sent. I want to date safely and I also am starting to do anonymous/faceless NSFW content selling. Don’t want creeps with too much time on Their hands and tech savvy to be stalking me or finding me. For some reason doing things anonymously and facelessly makes people who get rejected. Want to talk to smear you stalk you even more. However, I’m not tech savvy myself and I’m starting to wonder if VPN is actually what I need and what will help.
To watch and view adult content. Which falls under category of Geo Restricted content/bypassing censorship.
Also, Google Search has more results in USA more than local countries, I discovered this fact as each search result in a country is different than the other country.

I’m confused because I see so many people saying that their speed gets decreased with vpn use. I knew. Could you explain more?
Sorry, but a VPN will not protect you again hacking.
You may use it in combination of other technics to boost your security, but if your not tech savvy, I doubt you will have sucess.
