We need to start looking for a better VPN now that Express VPN has been lost. All suggestions welcome

Edit : found a turbo vpn “lite” mod on mobilism which seems decent and doesn’t seem to have viruses or shady permissions. Still verify using virustotal.com

From what I am seeing Turbo Vpn seems decent but has an ad problem.

Plus it’s mod on mobilism has viruses which the modder removed after people started running virustotal.com scans on it. Making the whole thing shady

The issue isn’t of express vpn mods. The vpn has been sold to a shady Israeli adware firm. They’ve nerfed the speeds and increased trial security. So don’t expect it to last long.

Proton vpn on mobile has terrible speed and latency while it’s desktop version is pretty good.

I’m still using a modded Hotspot Shield from ages ago which seems to work ok. Don’t know about speeds as my internet isn’t great anyway.

Proton Vpn is free and opensource. It offers 3 locations and decent speed for free…
There are working mods of express vpn available … Even on reddit…

You can try Windscribe. It is free but I’m not sure about the speed.

Used to use it back in the day. Can’t remember why I stopped. Probably because express and others had better speed

I’ve finally found a decent turbo vpn mod with premium enabled and it seems pretty decent although the app leaves a lot to be desired.

Proton on mobile for some reason has very low speed. The desktop one gives decent 10MBps and above. But the mobile one is super slow from my experience.

Have proton installed right now.

Express vpn has been sold to an adware firm based in Israel. They’ve limited speeds to 5MBps. Which at times goes down to 1MBps or even lower.

I have a working mod, but if crappy free vpns are working better than it, then it’s as much as dead. Especially at those speeds.

Have Windscribe it’s pretty decent. But bandwidth is way too limited. I’ll run out of bandwidth within a few hours.

Never really checked the speed. It’s just on. I use it on my android TV box. I’ll run a speed test later, but my internet only gives me around 3 mbps anyway.

Just checked and getting around 2mbps,. but after turning it off was getting less. Weird. Like I said,I have shit internet at the moment.

Your isp is definitely throttling your connection. But if its giving near 90% of the connections rated speed then that’s good.
