I am quite new to network stuff so excuse me for the silly questions I may do.
I want to get a Router which has VPN incorporated.
I have a vodafone router that has no WAN dedicated port so I tried to go the online menu (where i entered my router log in and password) and tried to change one of the LAN ports into WAN. Unfortunately, after going through all the menus, I did not find any option to do so.
So, my question now, is: is there any way that I can get any Router with VPN support that doesn’t require WAN port from my original router (and instead, I could use only LAN ports)?
Lan of your Vodafone router can be used as wan on any other router. Basically Wan port is an input, its not used for connecting to other devices, you use lan in this case
I think I may have misused some terms… I am sorry, I am bad at this…
I have a router-modem that was provided by my operator and that equipment has no WAN ports. I would like to have a device that would connect to this router-mode and have VPN support so that I could connect my phone/computer and have VPN without needing to actually have any VPN installed in my phone/computer.
