hey, my uni made me download a vpn that i have to use called checkpoint, ive downloaded and installed it on a BRAND NEW laptop but everytime i connect to it, it just disables my wifi (only on the laptop of course) and then because there is no wifi it keeps trying to reconnect to the vpn, only way to get wifi back is to disable the vpn but i must get this vpn to work
i tried many small solutions on google but none works right now im trying this solution, but i dont have any advanced settings on the VPN adapter only the wifi adapter:
On network adapter for the VPN Properties>Networking>TCP IPv4>Properties>Advanced and make sure that Use Default gateway on remote network is not checked off
and ideas what to do ? please help
My HP laptop did the same thing. I had to disable the lan/wan/wwan switching service from starting. It put the wireless adapter into a power saving mode which turned off the WiFi. Not sure how to do it with an Asus laptop,but here are the instructions for hp, which may point you in the right direction.
Try to downlod your wifi driver but not from asus website. Let’s say your wifi adapter is Atheros chipset or Intel chipset. Then try to download the driver from them.
After you downloaded it, uninstall the old driver from device manager, and make sure to remove all related to that old wifi driver. Then restart your laptop firat, before installing the driver you download from that Atheros website (or Intel, or whatever your wifi chipset ia).

She asked me what AV I have, I told her I only have windows antivirus
She said windows doesn’t have antivirus
I said they have windows security it comes with windows
She said I don’t know what to say, the problem is in your laptop
So I just hung up
i tried following this lead and searched things related to this and used chatgpt and nothing im about to give up

i already left 2 emails for tech support and they were both useless and i wrote to them so this time i got a call and she was equally useless
