VPN crashes Windows 11

Hey, I’ve run into an issue with a 2 out of 3 VPN clients I use, that after launching the app and connecting to a network, windows starts to lag, taskbar stops responding, and it needs a few minutes to recover before eventually starting to act weird again. I couldn’t find any specific information regarding this, just general tips, out of which i tried:
- Uninstalling devices WAN Miniport (IP / IPv6 / PPTP)

- Updating the drivers for my intel LAN adapter, as well as rolling them back

- SFC & DISM

- Enabling telemetry through registry (which i had disabled a long time ago, right after installing windows)

Did a restart after each of these steps but no dice.

Would appreciate it if someone who had the same experience told me how to go about fixing it, else I’m just gonna blame Windows 11 and do a fresh install of 10 (unless it crashes there too :S ).

TIA

Check how much ram the VPN is using, maybe adjust your performance settings

I had same issues in Win 11 with Astrill. Wintun tunnel was making the problem. I tried everything including fresh Win 11 installation but problem stayed. I had to move to Win 10 and it’s been stable so far.

Most likely cause could be "Net acceleration or something to do with TCP/UDP.

Nothing wrong according to the task manager
My specs are not the issue, i always have >5gb free
My r7 3700x isn’t either

About the only thing I’ve done with my system was debloating it with WinRice, but that doesn’t explain why my laptop, which is also running windows 11, which i also debloated, works completely fine
I think it’s high time i switched to windows 10

I dualboot arch and there’s no issues there, but I still need windows
