Using home network as VPN/ Microsoft widgets showing accurate physical location

I set up tailscale network using home internet and traveled to another state while working remotely. everything ip wise is set but for some reason microsoft widgets like weather/maps are showing actual physical location. what gives?

They’re off. its a work laptop. I had a dns leak and i think i fixed it. :person_facepalming:t2: im an idiot for these things

Out of curiosity, what sort of reasons does your company have for enforcing that sort of geo-restriction? It sounds fascinating that it’s enforced, I’m just curious why? (If you’re permitted to say)

appreciate the response. cheers
