Torrent sites keep asking for VPN despite having one

(EDIT: I’m an idiot, the sites were fake after all. Thanks anyway for trying to help, guys!)

So all of a sudden torrenting websites keep you from downloading torrents without first downloading and installing a VPN. I actually installed the one they linked (Avira - checked if it was safe first, of course), ran a scan, activated the extention on Chrome, and … the websites still don’t let me download anything, and still redirect me to the same VPN download page.
What do? I’ve already restarted multiple times.

They’re just ads, ignore them

#Stop using fake sites.

piratebay, kickass and 1337

TPB works just fine.

KAT has been dead for a long time.

1337 works just fine.

#Don’t use Google for torrent sites. Use DuckDuckGo or /r/FREEMEDIAHECKYEAH

You’re using a fake torrent site that is mimicking the real site. I’ve been there myself, friend. Sometimes it’s a simple as putting “.com” instead of “.org”, other times they put the site name in a totally new address. If you’re able to get a magnet link or a torrent file from it, it often times does not source to any seeds, even though there will be a lot of leechers and peers connected

Uh I’m having this problem now with purate Bay. Won’t let me download anything and keeps enforcing a download a vpn to access. Even when I go in through a vpn it’s forcing it up on the magnet refusing to give film link. Basically useless now piratebay

I’m having this issue (starting today) with htttps: // ytx . mx. Never a problem before today. And, I’ve been running through ExpressVPN for *years*. Today, all of a sudden.

I found a quick workaround. Look at the page source and links will be listed there. I just tried this method on ytx. mx and it worked flawlessly.

I have found a work around while we try and figure this crap out - at least for yts . mx…

In chrome, right click > view source then look for this:

720p

BluRay

File size

464.08 MB

Download

<a data-torrent-id=“141896” href=“magnet:?xt=urn:btih:stuff”

Click the magnet link from within the source, and it will download as normal.

Hey, I didn’t even know that you could download torrents in a browser.

Where I come from, you find the torrent in your browser, but the actual downloading happens in a special software like transmission, or qbit-torrent, or whatever.

Are you shure that haveing a VPN in the browser helps?

what torrent sites are you experiencing this problem on?

Avoid http, qbit search is usually better anyway

Just use ublock orgin

Use ublock, they’re just a site stuck with getting the shitty adverts that do that stuff.

Just run noscript so they don’t pop up. While you are at it run ublock origin, ghostery and mineblock.

I am having no issue with TPB but 1337x and KA are still giving me the redirect despite having an active VPN

Because this is some kind of scam. You have been deceived, it seems to me. Install Vpnhouse and check. If the problem continues, it’s definitely a hoax.

They were Legit Sites now something wrong with them all.

Faced with this, and it’s just another VPN advertisement. I would advise Vpnhouse to use, they are time-tested already.

op did u find the correct sites, if u did can u help me get it thanks

uhm … i would like to be able to download torrents again if possible. the “ads” appear whenever i click the download link (magnet or direct), every single time, on every single torrent

how does “ignoring” it solve my problem?
