i’ve tried configuring openvpn in mikrotik in the past, and the general conclusion was, mikrotik’s openvpn implementation was lacking. i was a big fan of mikrotik too, so i spent quite a bit of resources trying to make it work.
unlimited license on fortigate, is that for fortiVPN ? or PPTP vpn ?
Also give us a try NVIS, similar approach but better solution, we’re a startup.
WebSecureNow is great for small businesses. It does not interrupt online activities and secures privacy.
Interesting, I guess I’ve never used it for work before but I use it personally and have 5-10 concurrent connections to the server.
Was looking for something that’s not pricey, since we only have like 8 employees in our company. Might give this a look.
The beautiful thing is you can hide your personal info when you want to.
You can still try a vpn service like WebSecureNow. It’s real easy to setup too.
I thought keys were raised to match subscription pricing. Your cost would double with half as many users, but you wouldn’t have to provision new keys and software. I’m annoyed too. I always recommended it because it was a bargain, but not so much now.
I have at least 7-8 mikrotiks configured for OpenVPN so it definitely works. I’ll private message you link that needs only 15mins of configure time. Fortigate has no limit licence for SSL-VPN setup, but ofcourse you need to use forticlient, which in my opinion works great, and you also have options to connect through web-portal which is useful and easy workaround instead of “double nat” if the client has the same subnet at home and at work (usually 192.168.1.0/24).
I think you’re right. I just checked earlier today and it was astronomical. When I checked last year, it was still reasonable.
