i would like to create a shortcut on my phone to disconnect my VPN service at 6:30 in the morning, monday-friday as my work wifi network flags me for it and i sometimes forget to disconnect when i get there. i’ve never made a shortcut before so im not sure if this is possible but if so i would greatly appreciate some help! thanks in advance
This is quite easy and since this is your first time, I’ll walk you through it.
In a new shortcut, add an action called Set VPN. Tap on Connect, and select Disconnect. In the light blue text that says VPN, select the VPN that you want to disconnect from. This is all that you need tbh. You can tap the top bar that probably says ‘Set VPN’ and rename it to something like ‘VPN Disconnect Automation’ (You can also change the icon/color to your choosing).
After this, exit and go to the Automation and create a new Personal Automation. We will use the Time of Day, select the desired time and in Repeat, change to Weekly and select the days that you want to run. Lastly, change to Run Immediately to allow the shortcut to run without intervention.
After that just select the shortcut we made earlier under My Shortcuts. and that’s it.
