Hi everybody!
I have a router from my ISP (sercomm rv6699). I need a second router with VPN support.
So,
- Is it a working scheme? One router from ISP, and the second one with VPN in the same network?
- What model of a router with VPN would you recommend?
- Are there any instructions on adjusting the second router with VPN as an additional to the primary router?
Thank you in advance!
ASUS offers a wide range of routers with VPN client support for OpenVPN and WireGuard, while also providing decent WiFi coverage and plenty of features. Integrating it into your existing network is easy; just make sure the VPN router is on a different IP range than your ISP’s router. Simply plug the LAN port cable from your ISP router into the WAN port of your VPN router, and that’s it.
A recent standout feature ASUS offers is “VPN Fusion.” This new VPN client functionality is currently available only on a select few models, but the good news is that it supports WireGuard, which performs exceptionally well on ASUS hardware.
You can find a list of ASUS routers that support VPN Fusion at the bottom of this page: https://routerkb.asuscomm.com/?page_id=9&lang=en
