My ISP is blocking one of the IP addresses used to authenticate my pc in an app. Using VPN fixes the issue, but then all of the traffic is going through VPN, and it adds a lot of latency. Is there a way to direct traffic only to that particular IP address in router settings, so it goes through my VPN, but the rest is unaffected?
Yes you need to split tunnel. You may need to do some research to see if your VPN provider supports it in their app.
Unifi Express allows you to setup VPN client and place traffic rules to set up your own split tunnel with their hardware/software.
Other router, network companies also provide that, but Unifi is what I’m most familiar with and I know it’s cheap ~$130’ish
I think my asus ac68u has options for vpn and split tunneling, though so far I haven’t been able to setup openvpn for my server in router settings.
