Questions about setting up Router and using Mullvad VPN

I am wondering if I need to enable Mullvad in Flint VPN setup (admin panel) when connecting to my travel router in my work laptop, or if my travel router will connect to my home router and I won’t need Mullvad at all (for work purposes).

Do I set up Mullvad with my Router in the admin panel, or should I use Mullvad on it’s own when I’m using my computer/phone. Lastly, do I even need Mullvad if my WireGuard is already a VPN?

My equipment consists of the Flint and Slate AX.

I am trying to set up my router so I can connect to it anywhere in the world while showing I am still local. I read through various Digital VPN Setup from Techrelay and I am still confused. Particularly in the setup guide, I have enabled WireGuard server in my VPN. There’s a WireGuard Client option in my Admin Panel that can configure with Mullvad but it was not mentioned anywhere in the guide and I don’t know whether it’s required.

Please let me know if I am missing anything or if I’m thinking about this wrong.

You don’t need Mullvad if all you want to do is connect home.

WireGuard server on home router and WireGuard client on mobile router.

It sounds like when my laptop is connected to the mobile router then it will show that I am in my home location.

If I use my personal computer in my home (ethernet to the Flint), will I have VPN from WireGuard? If yes, then why would anyone buy VPN if they can just set it up through their router.

VPNs are used for other purposes like, wanting to stream content from other countries or try to buy deals if those pages increase the price based on location.
Downloading illegal torrents.
Doing other stuff you don’t want to be tracked on.
Etc.
If all you’re looking to do is making so all your traffic goes from you to your home router and out then just built in WireGuard or open VPN is the way. This is mostly to access resources available at home without exposing them or actually making a full pts tunnel to force all connection from you to your house to be encrypted. Makes it safer than simply using those public open WiFi’s.
