I’m trying to leave Flamingo. It is so bad and super subjective.
yall this project is a MESS
The reviews I’m getting are absurd. Almost all opinion-based and subjective. “This is not bachelor’s level material” to a prompt asking specific details about Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. Idk about y’all, but I never even heard those words until college.
I’m not fully convinced the people reviewing my Psych Bachelor’s level prompts have Psych Bachelor’s degrees themselves.
ETA: Anyone on “Flamingo Multimodal Reasoning SFT Attempters”? I take an image in my domain (psychology) and generate an exam-style question related to the image, which is then reviewed, then I provide the ideal answer and sometimes a step by step process for how to get the answer
Flamingo is the best experience I’ve had so far, but I guess it depends on what project you’re on under their umbrella. I was part of the bulba team for my first week on Outlier, hated it and found the instructions convoluted, before I was moved to Flamingo.
I’m on the conversation rewrites review team and maybe the team leads for this group are just a step above some others, but they are constantly posting any guideline updates, important things to know etc in Slack and are incredibly responsive with questions. Also, I’m sure I’ll hit an end eventually, but for the past 2+ weeks I’ve had an endless stream of work. Have made almost $500 in the past two weeks which is a huge help for me since this is a side gig.
Anyway, Flamingo has been my favorite project to work on by far.

After completing training for privacy rewrites (10 or 20 questions in SRT) I was working for 2 days on these tasks. What shows up in the production queue is SOOO much more different than what they train you with. But I’m still grateful for being able to have this opportunity regardless.
I logged in this Saturday and was EQ, and still EQ as of today.
I posted in Slack that I’m EQ and a manager said that I failed the privacy rewrites cert.
This doesn’t make sense as I was working on the project a full 2 days! The manager was not sure if I can retake the cert or be transferred to another project.
Has anyone else noticed/experienced this or something similar?
Is this the Flamingo Multi Turn Deviations project?
I tasked on flamingo for 5 months until the project ended in march. I loved the project I was on, but it was constantly EQ while they waited for feedback from the customer. After the project ended, it was challenging to get added to a new one. Now I’m on a different project and it’s not flamingo. The project is organized and that makes a huge difference. When I left flamingo, I was picked up by my new project within 1 week and I haven’t been EQ for more than a day because they only allow a certain amount of tasks within a 48 hour period.
Kind of annoyed that you can’t wait to do tasks and you basically have to drop everything you’re doing in order to get paid. I was EQ for almost a week and just when we finally got tasks they remove them a day later. I hesitated doing mine because of the visual glitch that showed we were gonna pay $1. It didn’t get rectified until late at night when I wanted to sleep.
I’ve been invited to join Flamingo and I’m currently working on the onboarding tasks. I’ve watched the first video and I’m now doing the “training scenario,” but I’ve noticed that there is no link to the SRT in this scenario. The page looks completely different from the video. I’m wondering if this is normal and if I should just proceed past that page. It’s mentioned that there are no retakes if I fail. I’ve already submitted a help request, but we all know how those usually go.
I tried accessing SRT via the instructions link, but it redirected me to “workplace.” When I entered my email, it displayed a message saying “Your company isn’t allowing anyone else to join Workplace right now. Contact your Workplace representative for details.”
I am also not included in any Slack threads regarding this project, which is usually how I get help.
Ideas?
I’ve only had an account with Outlier for 3ish days, got placed in Flamingo with the slack channel & for bulbus coding. I was working on projects today and after submitting my last one, says no tasks avail. I checked the slack and it says I was removed from the channel.
I never received any feedback or information on how I am doing during these 3 days, but noticed I went from training to doing actual projects based on the pay difference. Is this part of the training- like do they pause tasks to audit your work? Or is there something wrong w the site, or is it safe to assume I’ve been kicked out?
Just wanted to give my experience - after I finished the very first training assessment everything related to the project for me vanished and like many others the site is saying I have no tasks available. I’m hoping it could just be a glitch and I didn’t fail but that might just be copium at this point lol.
oh my god flamingo multiturn safety is ridiculous. there was a 60 min limit on what can take 1hr45 mins to complete. finally they bumped it up to 75 but it’s still not enough for half the prompts. im barely getting in under the wire at this point and im skipping half the tasks because they’ll take too long.
they really just want 20 mins free labor out of us
I got moved to Flamingo SFT 2 hours ago from Dolphin. I finished their training and still waiting for them to add a project to my hubstaff. I would like to know how the transition for anyone who is on the same boat. Did your pay rate change? Do you need to do onboarding zoom call like everyone else has mentioned on Slack? Etc. Thanks!
I keep getting unfair reviewers. I don’t know where is this “reviews” under “dashboard” where I can dispute the result they speak of. My dashboard on the left only has the home, earnings, missions, feedback, and community tabs. Anyone else having these issues?
Just finished my rewrite review assessment , didn’t tell me if I passed or not. I was removed from the 3 slack training channels but then got an email saying I’ve been assigned to the review production part of the project and wait 1-3 days for my credentials…? Am I in the clear ?

i’ve just started on this one–did the training vids, starting tasks tomorrow!
A little rough on the forst coiplemof days, figuring out how to deal with the linter grammar error, the two different timers on SRT and Outlier, also had to troubleshoot my connection issue (it was too slow, whoch resulted in SRT not pulling up any tasks when I clicked “just go”
But now all that technical stuff has been dealt with. There’s the question of which tasks to reject. I had one where it provided quotes from a book, which is within the guidelines, but how can I verify if those quotes are accurate if I don’t have access to the book?
I had one pait of responses where the only difference was between “freight related” and “freight-related.”" Fun stuff
Question: I took the Flamingo rejection assessment and was told I would find out after the end assessment if I passed. However, it went straight to my homepage and now it says there’s nothing in my EQ. I’m going to assume I somehow failed but I’m not sure how! I had the cheatsheet available and everything! Any insight here?
