Posted this in /r/printers and was told to ask here. I’m just curious and wasnt sure the best place to ask. I WFH and I have an HP Envy 5530 that’s connected via wifi. MOST of the time, I need to disconnect from my cisco anyconnect VPN on my work laptop to send a document to that printer wirelessly, which makes sense to me. The last time I had to do this was a few days ago.
But sometimes, I’ll be connected and it will work just fine. I’m printing stuff off while on the VPN as we speak. I’m not sure if some internal setting is being reset every time I restart my laptop, maybe? I’m just curious on if anyone would know why this would be, where it prints sometimes but not other times while connected? Maybe if I knew why, I could stop having to manually disconnect every time and reconnect, because its a pain with cisco anyconnect sometimes.
