While installing an update for fortnite, I enabled my CloudFlare VPN later on in the day and the download stopped and popped up with a “banned” message instead of the regular update status. To be clear, I haven’t played since the fortnite OG season (and a bit during the season after OG). I’m beyond confused because I’ve been playing fortnite BR since it has came out. They emailed me with a response saying I’m perma banned for third party software or cheats, with that the decision was final. I’m honestly just shocked and filled with confusion.
They will ban you if they detect you are using a VPN.
I uninstalled my vpn from my phone so I don’t accidentally have it turned on while playing. ![]()
Oh man… Even if the game isn’t open? Is there really no point in trying to get my account back?
Just keep calling them, This is getting super dumb on Epic banning VPNs. VPN’s aren’t cheats and they could just block them but they are lazy…billion dollar company and doesn’t know how to block VPNs…
Or at least give warnings, sometimes things are running in background and you mis click on fortnite. it happens. But all they give is perm bans which in wrong in my opinion, Given all the time and money we spend.
Yeah, I haven’t touched Fortnite in a long time and it looks like I honestly won’t be touching it again after this, even if I do get unbanned. I’ll try to spam contact them until they give me some sort of valid reason for why they banned me when I never actually had the game open with a vpn on.
