Netflix with Turkey VPN region lock

Hello, so I’ve read a lot of posts trying to find how to get Netflix for cheap, and I ended up paying using a Turkish gift card.

I’m using Turkish VPN but I’m confused because of the “1 month region lock” thing… Can I add my own debit card (from another country, in Europe) to the Netflix account only after 1 month? or before? Or should I just keep using gift cards?

Is it after 1 month exactly that I can stop using the VPN?

I’m sorry people already answered to these questions on this subreddit before, it’s just that I’ve seen many different answers and I’m a bit confused, and wanna make sure I don’t get my account blocked.

I could be wrong, but I did the same thing and my understanding is:

  • First 30 days, the Netflix account is geo-locked meaning you can only watch Netflix if you are in Turkey or you have a VPN set to Turkey.

  • 31 days or after, you no longer need to use a VPN and can watch Netflix anywhere without the need to be in Turkey or a VPN set to Turkey.

  • Separately, you cannot add a non-Turkish debit or credit card. You must keep adding credit via gift card (I use Turgame myself) You should get a reminder from Netflix when the credit is about to expire, e.g. a week beforehand. Personally, I would only top up 3-6 months worth at a time. Don’t let the credit run out or you will need to do Step 1 above again.

  • adding a EU card to a TR Netflix account is impossible
    (before or after the first month of subscription)

  • better go on with gift cards (in my opinion its more probable for the account to last)

  • geolock is due about one month, then you can watch without the use of VPN but it is strongly advised to keep using it from time to time for your account not to get flagged or banned (Netflix has become very restrictive with TR accounts)

Keep using gift cards.

Another big no-no is account sharing with non TR IP addresses. Better just keep it for yourself, use gift cards(add always only one month worth of subscription each time), and use VPN to not get blocked.

Use just gift cards for safety, and geoblock turkey usually lasts between 25-30 days.

I tried to create a TR account today with my vpn setup but the site didnt allow me to create an account! It was showing me an error.

I made sure to use an email that was never used on Netflix (also device) but i still wasnt even able to create an account. Is there something im missing?

I Had an issue with Netflix Gift Card (Turkey) Redemption bought from mtcgame store but they resolved it by accessing my account and doing it for me.

I have been so nervous from hearing about others being flagged that I strictly use VPN set to TR for Netflix. I never use anywhere else.

Thank you! After the month is over, when the region lock is over, I won’t use the VPN as much, so does it mean I can also sharee with friends then?

Netflix ended my turkish subscription 5 times this month. On last occassion it didnt lasted 24hrs and i didnt managed to watch anything. I ened buying 1080p plan with ads and just used dns to stop ads :joy::joy:

I had a TR account and I did dispatch it with my friends who do not use TR IP and I got blocked :frowning:

Nah. I had this account for long time. They just decided this month to be assholes. So i deleted account.
