Native Windows VPN to FortiGate?

We use Remote Desktop Manager to connect to customer’s networks automatically when needed

RDM has a remote gateway option that you can deploy on customer networks; perhaps this can work for you in lieu of ad-hoc VPN tunnels.

Not with the free client.

I would imagine so, mine starts up as a system tray app. I also just noticed my employer has pushed out our vpn settings to my FortiClient, so that can be done. For the autoconnect, I saw that in a kb or FortiNet hosted forum about auto connection of vpns, it’s out there.

This works fine using the sslvpncli. You don’t need multiple connections up nor do you need the full client or on startup. Connect to customers as needed and disconnect.

Ultimately we stopped doing this and leverage our RMM now. The number of times we need to VPN to the site can be counted on one hand over a year with a full team doing it. Very limited need.

I also noticed it can only handle one tunnel at once, but it works better than what we had before

Thank you! Those are some good suggestions.
