This is a development that’s arisen about 4-5 months ago. I know Facebook loves to change things about their programs and security, but hoping a resolution can be found.
I have two VPNs that I can use (I only use one at a time). I have T-Mobile cell service in the greater Los Angeles market. I like using Wireguard VPN protocol.
When I’m home on WiFi, and VPN, no problems-- I can send messages using the mobile FB Messenger app just fine. When I’m on T-Mobile, and on Wireguard on either VPN, messages show sending for 30-60 seconds, then finally deliver. For conversations, this is entirely too slow.
If I change to OpenVPN (UDP), no issues. However I’d like to use Wireguard. I have tried using the Wireguard app and a manual connection. Same result.
Any recommendations how I can avoid these delays and use Wireguard?
