Is there a way to get the Mail, Calendar and VPN bundle without the password manager and drive?

Hi Everyone!

I finally decided to migrate to the Proton suite. Although it is a bit expensive for me so I need to shed as much cost as possible. As so, I was wondering if I could just purchase the VPN and Mail/Calendar together without having to pay for the Drive (as I already host a NAS myself) and the Pass (I use Keepass)

Thanks!

No.

Now here’s a Bitcoin wallet.

No. Your best chance is to go for the 2 year Unlimited deal. They don’t do pick and mix at the moment.

Proton notoriously does not allow you to have a subscription for each service, you either have the premium version of one app or their whole suite.

Letting users pay for just a few apps they use rather than a whole load they don’t would make so much more sense.

I tried and hated proton pass. My recommendation is get mail plus and bitwarden. Much cheaper.

Please, get rid of last pass asap.
They have a record of malpractice. Several major breaches, bad security practices, lack of transparency.

Just don’t use the pwd manager and Drive. It’s cheap enough already

Yes, but you would need two Proton accounts (one for Mail Plus, which includes Calendar, and the other for VPN Plus).

It is possible that cheaper regional pricing is available if you upgrade through the mobile apps downloaded from the Play Store or App Store.

Yes. Don’t use Drive and Pass. I’m not being an a*hole: from memory, they did not lift the unlimited bundle’s price when they added drive and pass to it. For $1 more vs mail plus + VPN, you get more email addresses, custom domains, devices that can be on your VPN, split tunneling, etc. So you can look at Drive, Pass, etc as being free, which is a good thing because I’m not sure how many people would pay for them

What about going to Tuta for mail
Winacribe for VPN
Koofr for drive?

Nah, fork over 200 euros.

Yes proton unlimited and don’t download pass or drive

You should have been there since the beta, thanks to this I pay 6€ for all the services.

Maybe I should try the free plan.

I want a new main email address so probably 1GB wont cut it (my Gmail takes 9 gigs), a calendar to boot and a VPN that can access specific countries.

And a Calendar that syncs with Apple calendar and takes Ical invitations.

Misstyped, I’m a keepass user d:

I’m a nutcase so I only use keepass.

To me the important part is getting the VPN and mail but I’m looking into which is the cheapest option.

Just realized I wrote Lastpass HAHAHAHA

Keepass is what I use lol

200 dollars ain’t cheap lol.

Even less for us based in South America

What about going

To Tuta for mail Winacribe for

VPN Koofr for drive?

Sorry I misread your post and thought you wanted pass. Personally I wasn’t impressed with VPN either. You can just sign up to 1 month of proton unlimited for around £12 and try everything. Then if after 1 week you decide to downgrade to mail plus only the remaining time you had goes towards your next purchase. So after 1 week you would have £9 credit towards a year of mail plus.
